Before the purchase
Your goal
The first thing to figure out is the format.
What do you need oil for? Do you want a healing effect or to pour in a salad?
About salad oils
As a rule, oil for salads is cold-pressed oil, but ... To date, there are no methods or technologies that would show that the oils are mixed. This is all on the honesty of the producers. Some of them write the percentage of such oils, for example, corn oil with the addition of sesame oil, where corn is 70%, sesame is 30%. This is honest. And some just write sesame oil, cold pressed on the packaging.
Quality?
If there is a state standard for corn, sunflower, rapeseed and other oils, there is no such standard for amaranth oil. Therefore, you can see in stores amaranth oil for 50 UAH. And for 50 UAH, 100 ml of amaranth is impossible to make, simply because of the high cost of raw materials and production costs. What is really there, the question is open.
About our oil
The fact is that in a 100 ml bottle of amaranth oil contains 3 kg of raw materials.
We get the germ from the seed®. A soft germ enters the press, this allows you to squeeze the oil at a gentle temperature. The output from such a press is only 3% of the oil. This means that from 1 ton (!) Of grain we get only 30 liters of oil.
A few words about the benefit of germ
When they try our amaranth germ oil, people say "it looks like squeezed juice." In fact, the germ is a concentrated life in the plant. Have you heard all these stories about royal jelly and the power of the placenta? The same thing in a plant.
Price
Well, amaranth oil cannot be cheap. And pure cold pressed cannot be cheap. In order to produce such oil, the manufacturer needs to decide on a gamble. Or you produce a cool product, spend a lot of man-hours and efforts on it, and constantly work with "debunking myths" about cold pressing. It's easier to take oil and just write cold pressed, right?
To date, there are no methods or technologies that would show that the oils are mixed. It's all about the honesty of the manufacturers.

Packaging
The most important thing is dark glass.
Oil and sunlight should not be in contact.
Packing
Basically, therapeutic oils are packaged in a millimeter to 150 ml. This does not mean that you cannot order 3 liters of amaranth oil. But the yield of cold pressed oil is small, and usually they do not drink it in liters, therefore they are packed in small bottles. Plastic is only a temporary outlet for packaging. The oil itself absorbs everything it comes into contact with. You can imagine what will happen if the plastic transparent bottle gets in the sun.
Barcode and website
In Ukraine - if there is a barcode, this means that the manufacturer has complied with the technical conditions when submitting the product to the Chamber of Commerce, and paid money for it.
A website, a telephone is a signal of readiness to talk about the quality of your product.
About the badges on the package
"Bio", "eco" and "natural" are just words that give the impression of a natural product. There are no organizations authorized to issue such certificates in Ukraine.
organic standard - Ukrainian certificate that certifies organic production
iso 9001 is an international quality standard that evaluates management organization.
iso 2201 - certification of food safety management system
HACCP - a documented system responsible for food safety
halal - compliance of production with the laws of Islam.
kosher - conformity of production to the laws of Judaism.
What is required in the store to confirm the quality?
The certificate of conformity is a document that confirms that a company has the right to sell and products meet all the requirements of Ukraine for the safety of these products. You have the right to require this document in any online / offline store. You must issue them within 2-3 days

Taste of Amaranth
So, you bought oil. The oil should not have any taste of roasted walnut.
The fried taste in general is evidence of high heating of the raw materials. Therefore, please do not wait for this taste. Real oil is a concentrate. It is not greasy and has a grassy taste.
Precipitation is normal
(but it may not be)
In the cold-pressed oil, the fuz always falls out - these are small particles of the germ and flour. But, if you pass the additional cleaning step, this can be avoided. When we just started making oils, we always had a fuzz. Now we have improved our equipment and there is no draft.
How much can I use?
Amaranth oil contains a natural preservative - vitamin E and a small amount of Omega 3. If there is a lot of Omega 3 - the oil oxidizes quickly. Vitamin E and 1.3% Omega 3 prevents the oil from quickly deteriorating.
If you store open oil in the refrigerator, it retains its properties and can be used as food for more than a year. BUT pay attention to the taste: there should be no acidity and bitterness, and there should be no smell of "lying down" oil.
Way to check # 1
An easy way to understand whether or not cold pressed oil is to try half a teaspoon of regular refined oil, and then try cold pressed oil.
After refined oil, you will feel an indelible feeling of fat in your mouth. And after cold-pressed oil, there is no oily residue.
Way to check # 2
Put a drop of oil on your wrist. Deodorized oil is not absorbed. Cold-pressed oil - absorbed within 2-3 minutes.
And you will remember this taste for life
